BerryCool HDP EG/PG-HTF is a formulated heat transfer fluid containing an inhibitor package to control metal corrosion, help prevent fouling and scaling of heat transfer surfaces, and buffer the pH to keep it in the optimal operating range. BerryCool HDP EG/PG-HTF tested according to ASTM D1384 exceeds the performance requirements outlined in ASTM D3306. The inhibitor system is based on a high phosphate, multicomponent formulation, which makes BerryCool HDP EG/PG-HTF functionally equivalent to the best national brands on the market. This formula contains 96% glycol and 4% inhibitors.

HDELC nitrite free-HTF is a non-phosphate package that is based on organic acid technology (OAT), which offers unique operational benefits not found in most name brand fluids on the market. The benefits over conventionally inhibited (primarily phosphate) heat transfer fluids include:

  • Improved aluminum protection
  • Higher temperature protection
  • Lower operating system pH (typically 8 to 8.5)
  • Better hard water compatibility
  • Lower risk of hot surface scaling and deposits forming on system components

This antifreeze is formulated with molybdate and nitrite for extra protection in heavy-duty diesel applications. It contains a well-balanced organic acid technology (OAT) inhibitor system that protects all cooling system metal components. It also provides year-round protection against boilovers, freeze-ups, and engine cooling system corrosion. This coolant eliminates the need for supplemental coolant additives and chemical filters. Free of phosphate, silicate, and borate, it is also compatible with other heavy-duty OAT coolants, such as CAT ELC and CAT EC-1 specification. It provides up to 600,000 miles on-highway or up to 12,000 hours off-road service where a well-established monitoring program is in place for testing coolant at least twice a year. Coolant extender is generally needed at half-life (300,000 miles or 6,000 hours) and can be added based on results from coolant sample analysis.

Coolant extender is generally needed at half-life (300,000 miles or 6,000 hours) and may be added based on results from a coolant sample analysis.

This is fully formulated and pre-charged for use in heavy-duty diesel engines. It is formulated with a heavy-duty additive package containing the initial charge of supplemental coolant additive and at least 1200 ppm nitrite (as NO2). It minimizes cavitation erosion and corrosion in water pumps and wet sleeve cylinder liners and offers overall corrosion protection for multimetal systems. In systems where coolant filtration is in place along with a  monitoring and maintenance program, this antifreeze can provide up to three years or 300,000 miles protection with the addition of heavy-duty supplemental coolant additive as needed. Monitoring and maintenance of the engine coolant should include regular testing at normal oil drain intervals.

It’s suitable for use in domestic and foreign cars, sports utility vehicles, vans, and light trucks needing extended life coolant. The inhibitor technology used in this extended life antifreeze contains no borate, nitrite, nitrate, phosphates, or silicates. It’s compatible with all major brands of organic acid technology , hybrid, and conventional coolants without precipitation problems under typical top-off quantities. However, mixing different coolant types is not recommended because it will shorten the life of the coolant. In addition, this antifreeze contains inhibitors that protect cooling system metals.
